Who / What

The American Heart Association (AHA) is the USA’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. AHA funds innovative research, fights for stronger public health policies, and provides critical tools and information to save and improve lives. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, this organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters.

The Scientific Sessions of AHA provide a new dimension of cardiovascular discovery and clinical practice for clinicians, basic scientists, and researchers. 2018’s highlights included a Health tech summit, the 2018 Cholesterol clinical practice guidelines, and a Cardiovascular clinical nursing symposium among other things.

Several simulation activities were provided in partnership with Body Interact.
