Think Global | Think Virtual | Think Ahead

On the 29th of April, Body Interact promoted an international online event bringing together academics, worldwide experts, and scientific partners to its first annual meeting.

The event started with ‘Think Global: Impact Study Outcomes’ focused on the presentation and analysis of the multicentric study regarding the use of Body Interact, conducted in a first phase by 11 higher education institutions, in 2020, and more recently, in a second phase, the set of 8 higher education institutions that joined this research in 2020/21.

Going through the current trends and status of education in healthcare-based contexts, the event proceeded to ‘Think Virtual: An immersive simulation experience with Virtual Patients’, where the different experiences with virtual patients were highlighted.

Finally, we looked into the future with ‘Think Ahead: The future role of Virtual Patients in healthcare’.

For each of these panels, we were offered the expertise of international academics and experts that presented valuable inputs on the matter such as usage of Body Interact Virtual Patients across Nursing, Medical and Emergency Medical Service curriculums, the role and importance of debriefing, the way COVID-19 forced institutions and professors to move forward.
